Great little book ! Lots of cute patterns and ideas with clear ,easy to follow directions and colorful,inspiring pictures.I'd definitely recommend this book for anyone looking for ideas to utilize their stash of charm packs which we quilters all seem to accumulate!😊
Very bright quilts. These are lap or criib size quilts but the patterns are easy and pretty. Prefer book 2 but the patterns here are nice. Each pattern shows 3 alternate quilts using differnt charm packs.
I was looking for something different, however I am pleased with the results. I did not realize that the quilts all require the cutting of the charm squares rather than combining the 5" squares which is what I was expecting.
Hopefully, I will find the time to make one or more of the quilts in this charming booklet. Really liked that the sisters made each quilt 3 times in different color combinations. Makes it easier to imagine what the quilt would look like in you own choices.
This book is not a large book, but it is mighty in ideas! And, they are cute!! They will make adorable children and baby quilts, and can be adapted to make larger quilts--which really appeals to me! The book was everything I hoped for and a little more.
So enjoying this book, have constructed 6 of the projects already and plan to do a seventh. One caveat, have been doubling the charms recommended to have projects be a more useful size, such as a baby quilt or lap quilt for a nursing home resident.
The quilts are all shown in mini size which is quite popular for swaps, gifts, and trying out new techniques. I like the designs in the book although there were only a few that I will actually make. Few of the designs caught my eye so to speak. Although, the designs make good use of all those charm squares you have collected. I think 4 stars is an adequate rating.
